Paula Rosa

Cheshire - Mrs. Paula J. (Ashe) Rosa, age 78, of 904 Summit Road in Cheshire, formerly of Prospect, died Monday March 1, 2010 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the wife of Raymond R. Rosa.
Mrs. Rosa was born in Torrington on February 4,1932 a daughter of the late Joseph E. and Eugenie Nathalie (Rosier) Ashe. She was an awesome wife and mother who dearly loved her husband of 57 years, her children and grandchildren. She said that her children and grandchildren were her greatest accomplishments in life. She also had a special place in her heart for animals and gave generously to the A.S.P.C.A and the Humane Society. Mrs. Rosa was an avid gardener and found great solace in her gardens. She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Prospect.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Rosa is survived by 5 daughters; Jeanne Wall and her husband Charles of Johns Creek, GA, Paula Jayne Lawless of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Sharon Muthig and her husband James of Cheshire, Sandra Thompson and her husband Edward of Cheshire and Vicki Lynn Rosa of Cheshire, 1 son: Raymond James Rosa of Waterbury, 4 sisters: Patricia Stethem of Myrtle Beach, SC, Lora Perrone of Waterbury, Margaret Ashe of Bonita Springs, FL and Helen Collette of Glastonbury, a brother: Richard Ashe, 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother: James E. Ashe and a sister: Yvonne S. Ashe.
The funeral will be held on Thursday March 4, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 26 Waterbury Rd. Route 69 Prospect to St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church 4 Union City Rd. Prospect for a mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday March 3, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m.
