Ronald "Ron" Della Selva

Ronald “Ron” Della Selva, 78, beloved Brother, Father, and Grandfather was called to his eternal resting place on October 20, 2020. He entered this world on March 30, 1942, in New Haven, CT, born to Michael and Theresa Della Selva.

Ron adored his grandchildren, who affectionately called him “Gronpa” and “Grandpa Tic-Tac”. He was a kind and generous man, who enjoyed coaching his daughters in softball and playing softball and bowling himself. He loved watching all sports but Yankees baseball and UCONN Huskies Women’s basketball held a special place in his heart.

He is survived by his sister Barbara Della Selva; his former wife Marlene Wadsworth; his daughter Lynette Forman and husband Bryan Forman Sr (West Simsbury, CT) and their children Bryan Forman Jr, and his wife Jenna (Plainville, CT), Cameron Forman and his fiancée Chrissy (Bloomfield, CT); his daughter Lilah Donna DellaSelva (Avon, CT); his daughter Kristine Mele and husband Ed Mele, and their children Allycia Besner, Tia Mele, Vincent Mele, and Michael Mele and his girlfriend Ashley (all of Enfield, CT); his daughter Elizabeth DellaSelva-Martinez and her husband Joshua Martinez and their children Caitlyn Martinez, Mikaela Martinez, and Jacob Martinez (all of West Simsbury, CT).

Arrangements – A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2020, at 11 am at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hamden. There are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements.
