Ronald J. Kalinowski

Mr. Ronald J. Kalinowski Sr., 82, formally of Naugatuck, CT and most recently of New Boston, NH passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, surrounded by his loving children Ron and April Kalinowski.

Ronald was born on April 21, 1941, in Waterbury, CT. He was the son of the late John and Theresa (Bilot) Kalinowski. Ronald was educated in Naugatuck’s local school system and later entered the United States Army where he proudly served till, he was Honorably discharged.

In 1970, Ronald married the love of his life, Sandra (Ashman) and together they raised their family in Naugatuck, CT. He worked for many years at Pratt and Whitney as a Lead Tool and Die Maker. Ronald loved traveling with his late wife Sandy, especially to their summer home in New Hampshire. He was an avid reader who enjoyed books ranging from military history to fictional stories written by the adventure novelist, Clive Cussler. Ronald had a passion for landscaping, woodworking, antiquing, collecting civil war memorabilia, and walking his dog, Michael.

Ronald was predeceased by his loving wife, Sandra in 2013. He is survived by his son, Ronald J. Kalinowski, Jr. and his wife Marie of Whitman, MA, and his daughter, April Kalinowski-Nealley and her husband Ryan of New Boston, NH, as well as his beloved grandchildren: Noah & Nathaniel Kalinowski, and Alexa Nealley.

SERVICES: In accordance with Ronald’s wishes, private funeral services will be in CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice of Manchester and Southern New Hampshire, 1070 Holt Ave, Suite 1400, Manchester, NH 03109.  The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck is assisting his family with his arrangements.
