Louis Roma Jr

NAUGATUCK — Louis J. Roma Jr., 54, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at his home in Naugatuck.
Mr. Roma was born on April 8, 1959, in Bridgeport, a son of Louis and Marie (Patenaude) Roma. Louis enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid bicyclist and enjoyed working on home improvement projects. Louis was a 1978 graduate of Andrew Warde High School, Fairfield.
Louis is survived by Lenore Cortina, his soul mate and companion of over 30 years. He is also survived by his brother, Richard and his wife Bernice, and his two sisters, Maureen and Terri. He will also be missed by Philip and Carol Cortina, James and Cheryl Cortina and Tina and Gus Melchionno, as well as several nieces and nephews, including two special nephews, Marcus and Christopher Melchionno. He was predeceased by his sister, Patricia.
The funeral service for Mr. Roma will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at 7 p.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Rte. 69, Prospect. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5 p.m. until the start of the service.
