Roger Morello

Roger Morello, age 82, of Vero Beach, Fl. and formerly of Naugatuck, CT., entered into rest on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at his home in Vero Beach. He was the devoted husband of Kathleen (Rathburn) Morello for over 23 years. Roger was born on January 9, 1942 in Bridgeport, CT, son of the late Daniel Morello and Grace Borilli.

Roger graduated from Bassick High School in Bridgeport. In his adult life, he was a commercial painter by trade. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching boxing and basketball while snacking on his sweets. He also enjoyed watching movies and was an avid fan of the business channels. Mostly, Roger enjoyed spending time with his family and watching Sponge Bob and building Mr. Potato Head with his grandchildren. He loved sitting outside in the warm sun and could always be seen wearing his grey hoodies no matter how hot it was outside. Roger wasn’t a man of many words, which made him a quiet presence and a good listener. But we always knew of his presence by the jingling of the coins in his pockets. Rest in Peace.

 Roger is survived by his son, Roger Michael Morello; daughter Sandra Lee Morello; his sister Lydia and her husband Dean LaQuay; his brother Daniel and his wife Vivian Morello. Roger is also survived by his 5 step-children Catherine (Curulla) Larsen; Richard Curulla; Michael Curulla; Jennifer (Curulla) Phillips; Peter Curulla; and his many loving grandchildren.
