CHESHIRE - Robert Walesky, 66, passed away Friday December 27, 2013 at Hartford Hospital. He was the husband of Margaret (Cook) Walesky.
Bob was born June 16, 1947 in Waterbury, the son of the late Edward and Helen (Dowling) Walesky. He moved to Cheshire in his elementary school years and later graduated from St. Michaels College with a Bachelor in History. He was active in Scouting, earning his Eagle Scout.
Bob had worked for Travelers Insurance Company for over 35 years. He enjoyed reading and spending time with family and friends. His ultimate joy was his granddaughter Nina.
Besides his wife of almost 40 years, Bob is survived by his son Matthew and his wife Amy of Westwood, MA; his daughter Meegan of Meriden; his brothers Richard and his wife Lillian of Wellington, FL and Donald and his wife Betsy of Cheshire; his sister Linda Palmatier and her husband David of Kalamazoo, MI; his granddaughter Nina; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Friday January 3, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire. Friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S.
