Robert W. McAviney Jr.

Cheshire - Robert W. McAviney Jr., 67, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at his home. He was the longtime companion of Jean Bernard.

Bob was born on October 13, 1953, in New Haven, the son of the late Robert and Beatrice (Esposito) McAviney Sr. He was a longtime Cheshire resident where he worked for New England Tennis as well as the Public Works Division of the Town of Cheshire as a Heavy Machine Operator. He was known for his love of NASCAR and riding his Harley.

In addition to Jean, Bob is survived by his sons Robert McAviney III and his wife Alex; Adam Bernard; his brother Marc McAviney and his wife Karen; his nieces Alyssa McAviney and Heather McAviney; his nephew Brian McAviney; and his great niece Addisyn McAviney.

Arrangements – Visitation for Bob will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 2 to 4 pm at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
