WATERBURY- Robert J. Phelan, aka “Bobby Banks” 78, passed away, Saturday, September 30, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Phelan was born January 26, 1939 in Waterbury, son of the late William Patrick and his wife Vida (Dumas) Phelan.
Robert was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a Parts Inspector for ITW Manufacturing prior to his retirement. Robert was a skilled pool player and master of bank shots, avid fisherman, and enjoyed classic rock concerts.
Mr. Phelan is survived by his two sons Mark and Michael Phelan; a daughter Maureen Phelan all of Waterbury; grandchildren Christine Phelan, Jackie Laliberte, Summer Phelan, and Alex Zhang; his great grandson Jaden; former wife Carol Phelan; and his cat Missy. He was predeceased by his brother Richard Phelan.
Arrangements- Services for Robert will held at a later date. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 496 Chase Ave, 06704, is assisting the family with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations in Mr. Phelan’s name may be made to the immediate family in Robert’s name, or Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.
