CHESHIRE- Robert Edmund Boisvert, 66, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was the loving and devoted husband of Janine (Tovar) Boisvert who he was married to for 28 years.
Rob was born June 26, 1953 in Waterbury, son of Marian (Marzano) and the late Lucien Boisvert.
Besides his wife and mother, Robert is survived by his son Brian and his wife Aurora Boisvert; daughter Danielle Boisvert and her boyfriend Gabriel Zabatta; sister Linda and her husband Richard Terry; brother Thomas Boisvert; two grandchildren Aubrey and Riley Boisvert; his caregivers Simone and Sheila as well as various nieces and nephews.
Whether he was selling Pepsi, Ad space at the Cheshire Herald or beer and spirits at G&G, Connecticut Distributors or Northeast Beverage, he had a winning personality and a smile that would light up any room.
Rob loved his friends from “The Island”, a small but raucous group of people that were always together cooking, drinking, laughing and listening to Beatles music. They include the Donovan’s, the Olsen’s, the Longo’s and Terry Wright.
Calling hours for Mr. Boisvert will be held 5 to 7 P.M, Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, 06410. Robert’s funeral will start 10:15 A.M, Thursday, October 31, 2019 from the funeral home and proceed to St. Thomas Becket Church, 435 North Brooksvale Rd, Cheshire, 06410 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. Burial will follow in Carrington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to the ALS Association-Connecticut, 4 Oxford Road, Milford, CT 06460.
