CHESHIRE- Robert M. Barnes died, Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at his residence after a brief illness.
Born in Waterbury on January 11, 1935, he was the son of the late Ralph U. and Hilda I. (Blackburn) Barnes.
He attended Cheshire Academy, Yale University, and UConn. He was employed in the Engineering Field at Harris Transducer in Woodbury and Boston, MA, Robertshaw of Waterbury, and Pyramid Technologies of Meriden.
Robert is survived by two sisters, one brother, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother.
Arrangements- A private graveside service for Mr. Barnes will be held at Old Pine Grove Cemetery, Meriden Road, Waterbury. Burial will follow after the service. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave, 06710 is in charge of the arrangements.
