Richard Held

CHESHIRE - Richard Held, 54, passed away Saturday October 9, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. He was the husband of Kathleen (Sattler) Held.

Mr. Held was born July 28, 1956 in New York, NY the son of the late Robert and Rhoda (Neuman) Held. He was a Teacher's Assistant at High Road Student Learning Center in Wallingford. He was a 20 year Cheshire resident where he was active in his community serving on the Prison Advisory Board; active with the Cheshire Challengers Baseball program as well as the CT Challengers Bowling league. He was an avid Mets and Giants fan who enjoyed running.

Besides his wife of 29 years, Mr. Held is survived by his daughter Stephanie Held of Middletown; his son Robert Held of Cheshire; his brother William Held and his wife Theresa of Rocky Hill; his sister Jan Kelley and her husband Frank of Rocky Hill; and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 14, 2010, 9:15 from the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire to St. Bridget Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
