Richard A. Daly

Richard A. Daly, age 79, of Cheshire entered into rest on Friday, September 12, 2014 at MidState Medical Center. He was the devoted husband of Ethel (Golde) Daly. Richard was born on April 4, 1935 in Flushing, NY, son of the late Albert Daly and Bertha (Neuss) Leonard.

He retired from Comcast in 1993, was a member of the American Legion Post 92 in Cheshire, and served his Country with pride and honor with the U.S. Navy. Richard enjoyed vegetable gardening and was a NY Yankees fan, and loved being a grandfather to his 4 cherished grandchildren.

Richard is the beloved father of Robert Daly and his wife Terri of Cheshire and Debbie Hajjar and her husband Jeff of Cheshire; proud grandfather of Tim and Nicole Daly and Alyssa and Lauren Hajjar; and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to go directly to the Cheshire Lutheran Church, 660 West Main Street, Cheshire, on Monday, September 15, 2014 for a Funeral Service at 11AM. Interment will follow at Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Friends may greet the family at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 So. Main Street, Cheshire, CT 06410 on Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 11AM to 3PM. At the request of his family, memorial contributions may be made to the Cheshire Lutheran Church, 660 West Main Street, Cheshire, CT 06410.
