Cheshire - Raymond G. Kasten Sr., 82 passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Connecticut Hospice. He was the husband of Mary Ann McKeon and the late Grace (Gallo) Kasten.
Mr. Kasten was born September 12, 1939, in Stamford, the son of the late Robert and Mary (Donch) White. He was a graduate of Ansonia High School and was an Electrician with St. Raphael’s Hospital where he was a Member of the Teamsters Local 443. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. He was an avid golfer and bowler and was a member of the Pine Grove Men's Club. He loved his animals Fenway, Buddy, and Jingles.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children Raymond Kasten Jr. (Lynn Armour), Julianne Satterwhite (Michael), Lauren DeFelice (David); his grandchildren Patrick Amarante (Lily), Rachel Amarante, Joseph Amarante (Alicia), Philip Amarante (Sara), Timothy Amarante, Emily DeFelice, Alaina DeFelice, Julia DeFelice; Mary Ann’s children Ellen Bruenn (Eric), John Zurolo (Lisa) and Daniel Zurolo (Julie); Mary’s Ann’s grandchildren Damon Zurolo, Theresa Zurolo, Bella Zurolo, Nellie Zurolo.
Besides his first wife and parents, he is predeceased by his brother Robert.
Arrangements – Visitation for Mr. Kasten will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2022, from 4 to 7 pm at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. On Monday, his funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am and process to St. Bridget of Sweden Parish / St. Thomas Becket Church, 435 N. Brooksvale Rd., for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
