Raymond Ferguson

Raymond W. Ferguson 82 of Ashlar Village passed away Monday April 27, 2009 at the Mid State Medical Center. He was the husband of Marette Boney Ferguson.

Mr. Ferguson was born in Dallas TX. on February 22, 1927 and was the son of the late Willard B. and Lucille (Crabb) Ferguson . He received his bachelor's degree from Texas A&M, a master's degree from California Institute of Technology and his PhD from the University of Pittsburgh. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He worked for the Westinghouse Electric Co. as an electrical engineer until his retirement. Raymond loved being with his family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren.

Besides his wife Marette, he is survived by one son, Stuart R. and his wife Carolyn Ferguson of Denver, CO; two daughters, Janneane F.and her husband Martin Gent of Cheshire and Lynn F. and her husband David Riggs of Falls Church, VA, and five grandchildren.

Arrangements; Funeral services for Mr. Ferguson will be private. There are no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The Slater Funeral Home 242 So. Main St. Cheshire is in charge of arrangements.
