Raimundo Neves

Raimundo Neves, 93, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2023 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by his family. Born in Brazil on April 7, 1930, Raimundo made Naugatuck a home alongside his loving family.

Raimundo lived a fulfilling life, enriched with love and cherished memories. He adored soccer and spending time in his backyard gardening. He also enjoyed fishing. Raimundo had a great talent for working on cars and carpentry, often leaving a mark of his craftsmanship on everything he touched. Simple pleasures brought Raimundo the upmost joy, and his love for his family was immeasurable.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 68 years, Henriqueta Neves and also 10 devoted children. Franklin and his wife Beth, Antonio, Solange and her husband Nei, Rozilene, Mara and her husband Raymond, Alberto, Jorge and his wife Lydia, Miriam, and Rita and her husband Mathew. Raimundo was also pre-deceased by a daughter, Rozeangela. Raimundo will also be deeply missed by his 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren and his grand pup Lola. They were all the light of his life.

Throughout his career as a construction worker, Raimundo demonstrated dedication and skill. He was known for his strong work ethic, and unwavering commitment, he will leave a long-lasting legacy behind him, and will be greatly missed.
