Rachel B. Peil

NAUGATUCK- Mrs. Rachel B. (McMurray) Peil, 81 of Naugatuck, passed away Tuesday evening Feb. 23, 2016 at the Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of Donnell W. Peil.

Mrs. Peil was born in Williamsport, PA, Mar. 12, 1934, a daughter of the late Mariam (Flook) McMurray and her late step-father, George O’Brien and was educated in the Williamsport school system, prior to moving to Connecticut when she was 16 years of age, and was a retired employee of Osram-Sylvania, Inc. The family would thank the staff of Beacon Brook Health Care for the kind and loving care provided to their Mother during her stay there.

She leaves her children, Ted Peil (Paula) of Naugatuck and Susan Sodloski (Thomas) of Naugatuck and Kristi Peil of Oakville; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, George R. Peil and Scott A. Peil.

All services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
