NAUGATUCK- Mrs. R. Dianne Engelstad, 77, of Naugatuck, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday Jan 20, 2016 at her home.
Dianne was born in Chicago, Ill., June 1, 1938, a daughter of the late Melvin and Ruah (Post) Engelstad and move to Naugatuck from Illinois in her youth. She was educated in the Naugatuck school system and was a graduate of Naugatuck High School. She retired from Bank Boston in 2000 and later returned to work for TD Bank until her retirement. She was a member of Hillside Covenant Church and enjoyed trips to the casino’s
She is survived by one daughter, Pamela J. Myers and her husband Scott of Naugatuck; 5 grandchildren, Karen Weid, Charles Harris, Jennifer Hulitt, Matthew Meyers, and Kristen Meyers; 4 great-grandchildren, Eric Weid, Robert Weid, Corey Weid and Nathaniel Harris. She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Diane Johnson in 2010.
Private funeral services with burial in Grove Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. is assisting the family with all arrangements.
