Marilyn Pruchnicki of Naugatuck passed away peacefully with family around her on December 9, 2021. Known for being sweet and kind, Marilyn leaves behind her daughter Lori Cizeski (John) of Burlington, her son Ken Pruchnicki (Maureen) who resides in Wallingford, and her son Richard Pruchnicki (Cindy), who lives in California, many nieces and nephews, and her grandsons, Jay and Ricky Cizeski. She was also a loving wife to her husband Richard Pruchnicki, who passed away in 2010.
Marilyn was strong willed, sharp minded, and fiercely independent. She most enjoyed spending time having a nice meal at restaurants and having a good laugh with family and friends. She was a great cook, and would insist on doing the whole job herself because that's who she was, a true caregiver. Marilyn was also a member of the St. Hedwig's Ladies Guild and was active in the Oxford Seniors Club. She was a dedicated volunteer election worker in Naugatuck as well.
Perhaps more than anything, Marilyn enjoyed being a doting grandmother; she has to be a top candidate for Greatest Grandmother of All Time. She has left her mark as a tremendously loyal, dedicated, and loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed by everyone that has known her.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, PO Box 22324, New York, NY 10087.
