“Loving Brother and Uncle”

Naugatuck-Americo da Mota Pinho- 54, passed away surrounded by his loving family on June 18, 2013. Americo was born in Santa Maria de Feira, Portugal on January 21, 1959.

Americo was the son of late Jose da Mota Pinho and Emilia Vilar de Jesus. He is survived by his eight siblings, Guilherme Pinho of Prospect, Adelia Tavares of Prospect, Maria Emilia Silva of Prospect, Rosa Sequeira of Waterbury, Carma Janeiro of Wolcott, Jose Carlos Pinho of Naugatuck, Rufino Pinho of Portugal, and Maria Julia Pinho of Naugatuck. He is also survived by his loving seventeen nieces and nephews. Along with his family he is also survived by his longtime partner Carol Starcher.

Americo enjoyed being outdoors and activities such as fishing and hunting. His favorite past time was spending time with his family. His strength is an inspiration to all those he leaves behind.

The funeral will be held at 10 A.M. on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 2071 Baldwin Street, Waterbury, everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. There are no calling hours and the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck is in charge of the arrangements.
