Joseph Pierce

Naugatuck, CT Joseph Michael Pierce 45, of Naugatuck, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, September 27, 2024 after battling an illness.

Joseph leaves behind two sons that he loved dearly, Hunter and Parker Rolland of Naugatuck.

Joseph also leaves behind his loving mother and father, Karen and Kurt Bragg of Naugatuck; his younger siblings, his brother Michael and girlfriend Kimberly Riedl of Naugatuck, his sister Desirae and husband Nicholas Mastroianni of Southington, his youngest brother Blayde and girlfriend Julia Hughes of Naugatuck and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Joseph is predeceased by his father, Joseph Pierce, his maternal grandparents, Peter and Irene Yablonski all formerly of Naugatuck and his cousin, Michelle Yablonski formerly of Middlebury.

Joseph spent the majority of his life in Naugatuck, after growing up in Honolulu, Hawaii. Joseph is a Naugatuck High Alum, having graduated in 1998. He had a career as a batch man for F&F Concrete and later worked as a custodian for the Naugatuck Public School System.

Growing up, Joseph had a love for skateboarding and even skateboarded across town for the grand opening of the new skate park last year. He also enjoyed listening to rock music and playing video games. Joseph will be remembered for his contagious laugh, his fun-loving personality and his overall friendly demeanor.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 11:00am at St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Everyone attending the service is kindly asked to please meet directly at the cemetery. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
