Phillip "Phil" Coy

November 27, 1954 — April 13, 2019

Phillip "Phil" Coy

After a long and valiant battle with brain cancer, Phil went home to be with his Lord, Saturday, April 13, 2019. His beloved wife of 40 years, Wendy (Williams) Coy stood by his side.

Born on November 27, 1954 in Weymouth, MA, Phil is predeceased by his parents, Charles W. and Claire May (Demarest) Coy. He is survived by his wife Wendy (Williams) Coy, his brother, Stephen Coy and his wife, Violet (Lee), two nephews, Timothy and Jeremy Coy, and one niece, Christine Coy.

Phil was employed at mcaConnect as the Managing Director of Business Transformation Practices. There he managed the world-wide implementation of his software program that supports lean manufacturing transformation and green principles for environmental awareness.

A brilliant man in the work-force and ministry, Phil’s lifelong passion was his personal relationship with Jesus Christ. His never-ending quest was to spread the healing love of God and His Kingdom to others, that he personally encountered in 1974.

After their marriage in 1979, Phil and Wendy worshiped and ministered side-by-side in many different congregations. Together they founded the InnerACTS Ministry in 2001, training lay people in ministry skills, listening prayer and inner healing. They also founded GemMaker in 2014, a private foundation to help fund entrepreneurial projects that advance the Kingdom of God. Phil and Wendy were ordained in 2010 by Pastor Brian Simmons of the Apostolic Resource Center, West Haven, CT. Most recently, they’ve served and shepherded the congregation at St. John’s Episcopal Church, New Haven, CT and worshiped as congregants at Wellspring Church, Berlin, CT. Throughout their marriage Phil and Wendy served at Gateway Christian Fellowship, West Haven, CT, St. David’s Episcopal, Venetia PA, Vineyard Christian Fellowship, New Haven, CT, Baptist Church of Cheshire, Cheshire, CT, and St. Paul’s Episcopal, Darien, CT.

All who knew Phil will miss him dearly.

Those who wish to make a donation in Phil’s honor may choose either: (1) GoFundMe Campaign to help offset medical obligations at https://www.gofundme.com/manage/help-for-phil-and-wendy# or (2) their private foundation, GemMaker.
