Peter J. Schulam

CHESHIRE - Peter J. Schulam, 84, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of Evelyne (Cassella) Schulam.

Mr. Schulam was born February 4, 1931 in Guilford, the son of the late Peter J. and Mary (Szewczynski) Schulam. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a Foreman for SNET until his retirement in 1991. He was a Cheshire resident for the past 10 years and was a member of the Branford Yacht Club.

Besides his wife of 56 years, Mr. Schulam is survived by his children Peter G. Schulam and his wife Kim of New Haven, Valerie Yavorek and her husband George of Cheshire and Michael Schulam of WA; his sisters Alice Rietzl and Patricia Dziedzic; his brother Walter Sachs; as well as his eight grandchildren Peter, Mia, Michael, Treviana, Talia, Ava, Isabel, and Giuliana.

Arrangements – A Memorial Service will be held on Friday October 9, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Chapel, 268 Park St., New Haven. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be held on Thursday October 8, 2015, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St.
