Peter Colangelo

OAKVILLE- Peter Colangelo, 94, passed away Friday December 10, 2010 at his residence. He was predeceased by his wife Helen D. (Bartkus) Colangelo in 2003.

Peter was born February 2, 1916 in Waterbury, and was the son of the late Thomas and Domenicia (Corbo) Colangelo.

Peter was an avid Boxer in his younger years. He also was an avid sports fan, and New York Yankee Fan.

He survived by two sons Robert and his wife Mary Colangelo of Watertown, and Peter F. Colangelo of Waterbury; a daughter Gail Ravenscroft of Oakville; a loving granddaughter Shanna Colangelo of Humble, TX; a loving grandson Bobby Colangelo of Watertown and seven other grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. Peter was predeceased by a son Eddie Colangelo, and a daughter Eleanor Ackerman.

Arrangements- A funeral service for Peter will be held Thursday December 16, 2010 at 12 P.M at The Mulville Funeral Home, 270 West Main St, Waterbury, 06710. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Platt Rd, Watertown, 06795. Calling hours will be held from 10 A.M until the time of the service at the funeral home.
