Peggy N. Ellis

Peggy N. Ellis, age 91, of Cheshire entered into rest on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury. She was the devoted wife of the late George O. Ellis, Jr. Peggy was born in Detroit, MI, daughter of the late Stanley O. and Matilda (Horst) Needham.

Peggy was raised in Fort Wayne, IN. Before she and George relocated to Cheshire in 1971, they had lived in many communities throughout the West. Peggy was a member of the Cheshire Historical Society, the Congregational Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, an over 40 year member of the Cheshire Women’s Club and part of the Elim Park retirement community.

She is the beloved mother of Renée Ellis and her husband, Brian Alexander of Wappingers Falls, NY; Kent Ellis and his wife, Melanie of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA; and Mark Ellis and his wife, Betsy of Brookfield, WI; she also leaves her loving grandson, Stefan Ellis and her cherished kitty, Molly. Peggy was predeceased by her brother, Stanley O. Needham, Jr.
