SOUTHBURY- Paul Freedman,”Swifty”, passed away on the morning of February 18, 2019 at the age of 89.
Paul, a prominent Waterbury businessman for many years, was the owner of Dorfman’s in Waterbury. He was married to his childhood sweetheart, Ellie, the love of his life, for 68 years. He enjoyed golf, travel, sports, and a good game of poker.
Paul graduated from Crosby High School in 1947. He served in the Korean War and was stationed in Germany.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Ellie, children Kim and Scott, Jamie, and Todd, grandchildren Kiley, Kerry, Chelsea, Dustin, Brandon, Chase, Kyle, and Blake and great grandchildren Brody, Belle, Skylar, and Dylan.
Arrangements- A Graveside Service for Paul will be held 1 P.M, Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Hebrew Benefit Cemetery, Stillson Rd, Waterbury. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery and burial will follow after the service. Shiva will be from 4-6 P.M on Tuesday, following the funeral at The Fireside, Heritage Village.
