OAKVILLE- Paul D. Kalasnik, 60, passed away April 19, 2011 at Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of Jane T. Kalasnik whom he was married to for 25 years.
Paul was born September 30, 1950 son of Ann (Zacher) and the late Walter Kalasnik.
He attended Crosby High School, served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, and received a Bachelors Degree in English from the University of Connecticut, and his Masters Degree in English from Central Connecticut State University. He was employed as a Teacher at Canton High School.
Paul was an avid NASCAR, Uconn Huskies, and New York Giants fan, and had a love for classic cars.
Besides his wife and mother Paul is survived by a son Mike R. Kalasnik of Fort Mill, SC; a daughter Catherine Thurston; two brothers David Kalasnik of Florida, and John and his wife Debra Kalasnik of South Carolina; and a sister Mary and her husband John DeConti of Bristol.
Arrangements- A Private Memorial Service for Paul will be held at the Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave, 06710. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
