CHESHIRE- Paul J. Sepkowski Jr., (AKA PJ) 47, passed away Monday September 4, 2017. He was the loving husband of Heather (Halloran) Sepkowski whom he was with for 30 years and 15 of those years married.
Mr. Sepkowski was born September 8, 1969 in New Haven son of the late Paul Sr. and Carole Sepkowski.
Besides his wife he survived by his daughter Ashley Rayne Sepkowski; sister KD and her husband Joe Kling of Branford; mother-in-law Sandra Halloran of Cheshire; and two brothers-in-law Tom Halloran, and Jeffrey Halloran both of Cheshire. Paul was predeceased by his father in law Thomas Halloran.
For years Paul was the owner of United Custom Concrete. He also had his own unique business that he loved, of buying and selling military vehicles, antique firearms, cannons and supplies. He was very well known around for this many would know him as the "Army Truck Guy" at the cool house down on South Main St. Also, since he was a kid he was an excellent self-taught home improvement contractor who did beautiful work for many around town but the most beautiful work he had ever done was on his own home.
With his love for military vehicles and guns PJ and his wife and daughter were also known around the state for doing many charity drives with his trucks mostly to help the wife’s and kids of the military families. His collections of military vehicles always drew attention of passersby and he always had someone stopping by to check them out. The guys he liked the most were the Vets who would say they used to drive this truck in the military many years ago. It did not matter how old they were he would let them sit In the truck for one last time and even sometimes would give them rides and that would just make their day.
Besides PJ's love of his trucks and all things military, his favorite thing to do was spending time with the love of his life and best friend Heather and their 10 year old daughter Ashley who he called Rainbow. They loved to travel especially to amusement parks everywhere to take their daughter to ride the roller coasters PJ and Ashley would ride the coasters as Heather would watch in fear and then they would just laugh and mom's a scaredy cat. He also loved going antiquing, gun and military shopping with his wife and he would always have to bring something back because it was always old, always really cool and it always had a story to tell.
He will always be remembered and never forgotten for his great sense of humor and his amazing knowledge of everything and anything his wife would always call him facts on file. But most of all he will be remembered for the love he had for his wife Heather and daughter Ashley and how he took care of them so well and never ever wanted to leave them.
