Patricia Williams

CHESHIRE - Patricia L. Williams, 80, passed away Sunday July 17, 2011 at Cherry Brook Health Care Center in Canton. She was the wife of John A. Williams.

Mrs. Williams was born December 25, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph and Edna (Morgan) Lamb. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, and practiced for over 30 years as a Nurse at Meriden-Wallingford Hospital. She was an avid reader and enjoyed swimming and being outdoors. She was a member and former President of the Cheshire Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Patty's quiet and gentle spirit will be missed.

Besides her husband John of 55 years, she is survived by her daughter Karen W. Smyth and her husband Glen of Canton; her son Steven J. Williams and his wife Jennifer of Southington; as well as 6 grandchildren Nicholas, Patricia, Connor, Jobi, Hunter, and Samantha. She is predeceased by her son Jack.

Her family would like to thank the staff of Cherry Brook Health center and McLean Hospice for their wonderful care.

Arrangements - A Memorial Services will be held on Friday July 22, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Cheshire, 111 Church Dr. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to an organization of the donor's choice. The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. is assisting with arrangements.
