Patricia Welch Ward

Patricia Ann Welch Ward, 67, of Jupiter, Florida, beloved daughter, sister and wife passed away on Friday, November 28, 2014, lovingly surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Christopher B. Ward. Pat was born on April 25, 1947 in New Haven, Connecticut to Shirley A. Welch and the late James J. Welch. She was formerly a Cheshire, Connecticut resident and graduated from Cheshire High School in 1965 and from Cardinal Cushing College in Brookline, Massachusetts.

Employed for many years in financial services in Connecticut, Colorado and Florida, Pat retired from the Pan American Credit Union in Miami, Florida, in 1995. In more recent years, she and her husband owned and operated the Lanai Apartments, in Key Biscayne, Florida and traveled extensively throughout the US and abroad.

We will remember Pat for her special sparkle, untiring humor and extraordinary spirit. True empathy and generosity were her gifts to us all.

Pat is survived by her husband, Chris, of 19 years; her mother Shirley A. Welch of Cheshire, Connecticut; her sisters, Cheryl A. Welch of Jupiter, Florida, Beverly S. Welch of Cheshire, Connecticut; her brother James J. Welch of Farmington, Connecticut; her nephews Michael J. Welch, his wife Bridget and their sons James and Connor of Somerville, Massachusetts and nephew Christopher W. Welch of New York City.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 9:45 am from the Alderson Ford Funeral Home 615 South Main Street, Cheshire to Saint Bridget's Church for Mass at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in St. Bridget's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 4 to 7pm at the funeral home.
