Patricia Harty Washburn

Patricia (Trish) Harty Washburn, beloved wife of Brian Paul Washburn, lost her battle with early onset Alzheimer’s disease on November 7, 2022. Born on December 22, 1959 in Bellows Falls, VT, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bernadette (Landers) Harty.

Trish graduated from Cheshire High School and Springfield College. She worked many years for Ann Taylor Headquarters in New Haven, CT, and the City of Westport. Trish was also a PSIA Certified Level III professional ski instructor at Mt. Southington for over 35 years, where she loved sharing her passion for skiing with children and women of all ages.

Trish was always eager to listen to your story and was the first to ask about your family and friends. We can’t remember Trish without smiling and recalling the joy and warmth she brought to every gathering and every room she entered.

In addition to her loving husband, Brian, she is survived by his children, Ethan (Susan) Washburn and Graham Washburn. Trish is also survived by Kathryn and her husband Paul Cuozzo, Joseph Harty (Madeline) and Joan and her husband, Les Schewe. Trish was also a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

The family is grateful for the care given to her at Garden Terrace Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence in Aurora, Colorado.

Arrangements: Visitation will take place on Monday, December 5, 2022 from 9:00 – 11:00 am at Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street. Interment will be at St. Bridget Cemetery, Cheshire. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in Trish’s name, may be made to The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or American Diabetes Association.
