Patricia A. Hackett

CHESHIRE – Patricia A. Hackett, 93, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025 after a brief stay at Complete Care at Meriden.

Pat Hackett was born June 21, 1931, in Waterbury, daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Dillon) Hackett. She was raised in Waterbury where she attended Sacred Heart Grammar School and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. She lived in Cheshire for many years before returning to Waterbury in 2019 to live at The Village at East Farms. She worked in administration in manufacturing companies, spending the majority of her career in human resources at Fansteel V/R Wesson in Plantsville, CT, retiring in 1996. 

Pat enjoyed traveling, especially when it included trips to the beach and viewing beautiful sunsets. She loved spending time with her large extended family and friends, all of whom benefited from her unwavering support and generosity over the years.

Besides her parents, Pat was predeceased by her siblings and their spouses; Claire (Arthur) Wallinger, Bernice (Fred) Nolan, Frank (Eleanor) Hackett, Joe (Mary) Hackett, and Ray Hackett. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Frances Hackett. She is also survived by generations of nieces and nephews.

Arrangements – Per Pat’s wishes, services will be private and held at the convenience of her family. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements. Pat requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name be made to St. Vincent DePaul Mission of Waterbury, P.O. Box 1612, Waterbury, CT 06721.
