Patricia Frieda Margaret Edwards

CHESHIRE, CT - Patricia Frieda Margaret (Healey) Edwards, 76, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT. She was the former wife of James Russell Edwards. Pat was born on November 29, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of the late Raymond and Greta (Urzena) Healey, and has been a Cheshire, CT resident for over 12 years.

Pat attended nursing school and worked at Grant Hospital in Chicago. She later married James in 1958 and started her family. In 1968, she and her family relocated and settled in Ridgefield, CT. She was a life-long passionate artist whose paintings have been shown in Chicago, and throughout Connecticut. Pat also loved travel, camping, enjoyed music, knitting and summers on Cape Cod with her daughters. She will be remembered as a generous, caring, loving and thoughtful mother, wife, friend and sister.

Pat is survived by her three daughters: April Edwards-Haupt and her husband, Gerry Haupt of Cumberland, RI, Robin Edwards Van Valkenburg and her husband, Peter Van Valkenburg of Danbury, CT, and Heather Edwards and her fiancé, James Carmignani of Deland, FL. She also leaves behind her brothers Raymond Healey and his wife Susan of Oshkosh, WI, Peter Healey of Duluth, MN, and Dennis Healey of Waco, TX, and her sister, Lorelei Healey-White of Cheshire, CT. She will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Matthew, Alexander and James of Cumberland, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Bernard Healey of Chicago, IL.

All services for Pat will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting the family with arrangements. Donations may be made in Patricia's name, to charities that support the fine arts.
