NAUGATUCK, CT- Pam M. Bogert, 42 of Naugatuck, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday Jan. 23, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the wife of Peter C. Sumpf.
Pam was born in Oak Ridge, N.J., May 21, 1970, a daughter of Natalie (Martin) Bogert and the late Robert Bogert and had been a Naugatuck resident since 2000, moving here from Shelton, CT. She was educated in the New Jersey school system and was a graduate of Rowan University in Glassboro, N.J. She was an accomplished artist, having been active in the Arts community and was well known for her work in Painting, Sculptor, and in Photography. She had exhibited her work in a number of locations.
Pam had been the Concert Photographer for the "Counting Crows" Band. She had formerly been employed at the Artwell Gallery in Torrington. CT for 8 years and for the past 1 years was employed at the Howard Whittemore Memorial Library in Naugatuck as a Children and Arts Specialist.
Besides her husband of 14 years, and her mother of Bluffton, SC, she leaves a daughter Madison Sumpf of Naugatuck; one brother, John Bogert of Oswego, NY; two sisters, Christina DePonte of Cranford, NJ and Bethann Bogert of Emmaus, PA.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday Feb. 9th, 2013 at the Continental Room, 1006 New Haven Rd., Naugatuck from 12 to 4 p.m. The Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. is assisting the family with the arrangements.
