NAUGATUCK — Mary (Myhalyk) Palizay, 86, passed away on Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, at Waterbury Hospital with her loving family at her side. She was the wife of Richard W. Palizay.

Mrs. Palizay was born in Elmira, N.Y., a daughter of the late John and Victoria (Terniski) Myhalyk. She was retired from the G. Fox Company where she worked in sales for many years. She was a member of the Bridge Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Judy Divito of Naugatuck, and Liz Weber and her husband, David, of Winter Haven, Fla.; a son, Jim P. Palizay and his wife, Jane, of North Yarmouth, Maine; seven grandchildren, Allie, Jeff, Sarah, Jonathan, Rachel, Ben and Gabe; and many loved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Peter M. Myhalyk and Wash M. Myhalyk.

A memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck. Friends and family are asked to meet directly at the church. A private burial was held on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at St. James Cemetery. The Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck. is in charge of the arrangements.
