Osvaldo 'Ozzie' Ricci

Osvaldo “Ozzie” Ricci, 61, of Cheshire, CT entered into rest on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 after a long illness, which he battled with courage and strength. He was the devoted husband of Lucia (Conte) Ricci for over 36 years. Ozzie was born on July 12, 1955 in S. Tommaso (Pescara), Italy, son of the late Vincenzo and Assunta Ricci.

Ozzie was self-employed as a business executive specializing in logistics and supply chain systems. Fluent in three languages, he travelled extensively for business. He had a deep appreciation for golf and loved reading and watching sports. Ozzie and his family enjoyed trips to Hilton Head Island, SC and savored their time spent at the beach. His most treasured moments were always those spent with family and friends.

He is the beloved father of Andrea Ricci of Cheshire, CT and Stephanie Ricci of Cleveland, OH; loving brother of Eugenio Ricci of Montreal, Quebec, and loving uncle to nieces Sabrina and Claudia Conte. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends. Ozzie was predeceased by his sister, Nunziatina Conte.

Ozzie’s funeral procession will leave the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 So. Main St., Cheshire, CT 06410 on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 9AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire at 10AM. Entombment will follow at the All Saints Cemetery Mausoleum, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven, CT. Friends are invited to greet his family at the funeral home on Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 3PM until 8PM.
