William Osborne

Seymour, CT William L. Osborne, 77, husband of the late Elizabeth Ann (Amador) Osborne, passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 2, 2015 in the VITAS Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

William was born March 31, 1938 in Wilkes Barre, PA a son of the late William P. and Irene C. (Johnson) Osborne.

He retired from the Burndy Corporation in Waterbury, where he had worked as a supervisor.

William is survived by his daughter Karen Vensel and her husband Alan, his daughter Mary Spear; his sons, Robert J. Osborne, Michael L. Osborne and his wife Blake, Eugene F. Osborne and his wife Staci, and Richard C. Osborne and his wife Karen; 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Osborne was predeceased by his son, Kenneth R. Osborne, his daughter, Mary Catherine Osborne and his brother, Rev. Ronald Osborne.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 7, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Calling hours are Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
