Ona Eidukaitis

Ona (Duobaite) Eidukaitis, age 74, of Waterbury passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023 at St. Mary VITAS.  She was the devoted wife of the late Vitas Eidukaitis.  Ona was born on August 22, 1948 in Lithuania, daughter of the late Albertas and Brone (Baukute) Duoba.

Ona lived, worked and raised her family in Prienai, Lithuania, before coming to the United States.  After coming to the US, she became active in the Lithuania community in and around the Waterbury area and worked as a caregiver.  Ona was a kind and compassionate woman, the matriarch of her family, her grandchildren were her world.

She is the beloved mother of Arunas Eidukaitis and his wife, Kristina of Southington; and Arvydas Eidukaitis and his wife, Irma of Wolcott.  She also leaves her cherished Grandchildren, Lily, Eimante, Amanda, Mantvydas and Matas Eidukaiciai, and is also survived by her sister, Laima Kakeranas and her husband, Petras of Florida; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Ona was predeceased by her sister, Emilija.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 12PM at St. Bridget of Sweden Parish-St. Bridget Church, 175 Main Street, Cheshire CT 06410.  Friends and family are asked to meet directly at church.  Burial will be at a later date in Lithuania.  The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting her family with the arrangements.  To leave online condolences for her family, please visit www.fordfh.com
