Milford, CT Maria E. Oliveira, 86, widow of Francisco F. Oliveira and a former Naugatuck resident, died peacefully on September 11, 2023 at Bridgeport Hospital-Milford Campus, with loving family by her side.

Maria was born July 11, 1937 in Murtosa, Portugal a daughter of the late Antonio and Angelina DaSilva. Maria lived in Naugatuck most of her life, until recently moving to Milford to live with her daughter Maria. She was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Waterbury and she loved spending time with her family.

Maria is survived by her son, Frank Oliveira and his wife, Lisa; her daughter, Maria A. Rodrigues; her beloved grandchildren, Carissa Palomba and her husband, Tom Palomba, Christopher Rodrigues, Amanda Oliveira, Natalie Rodrigues and her husband, Michael Vavala; her great grandson, Michael Palomba; her brothers, David DaSilva, Manuel DaSilva and his wife, Rosalia and Americo DaSilva; her sisters, Maria Jose DosSantos and her husband, Francisco DosSantos, Maria Vilar and her husband, Manuel Vilar, Angelina Paiva and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents, Maria was predeceased by her daughter, Connie Oliveira and her son in law, John Rodrigues.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 15, 2023 at 11:00am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin Street, Waterbury. Everyone attending is kindly asked to please meet directly at church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. A calling hour will be Friday from 9:15am to 10:15am at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
