Mr. Norman Rosenbaum, 81, of 162 Leffingwell Ave., died Friday Nov. 14, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of Arlene (Evans) Rosenbaum.
Mr. Rosenbaum was born in Waterbury, July 1, 1927, a son of the late Isador and Anna (Kantor) Rosenbaum and was a lifelong city resident. He was educated in the local school system and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in WW II. He was the retired owner of Acme Foam Rubber Co. of Waterbury a business he operated for over 60 years until his retirement in 2002. He was a former member of Beth El Synagogue.
Beside his wife of 61 years, he leaves one daughter Irna Goodman and her husband William of Sharon, Mass.; one Daughter 'in-law, Zina Rosenbaum of Danbury; 5 grandchildren, Emily Goodman, Jaclyn Goodman, Lisa Goodman, Benjamin Rosenbaum and Zachary Rosenbaum. He was predeceased by a son Sheldon Rosenbaum.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday Nov. 16th at 1:30 p.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave at West Main St. Burial will United Jewish Center Cemetery, Brookfield. Shiva will be observed at his late home on Sunday and Monday evenings.
