Naugatuck, CT Catherine T. Nori, 94, wife of Arnold E. “Babe” Nori for the past 72 years, died peacefully on November 1, 2018 at the Lutheran Home in Southbury.

Catherine was born on May 30, 1924 in New Brunswick, NJ daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Myron) Oram, Sr. and had lived in Naugatuck for most of her life. Catherine was a former employee of Peter Paul and Risdon Manufacturing. She enjoyed reading, bird watching and watching old movies. She was an excellent cook! Catherine’s greatest joy in life was being a loving wife and mother.

In addition to her husband, Catherine is survived by her daughters, Anita Nori and Mary Lynn Shirshac and her husband, Steve and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Catherine was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Ann Nori; her sisters, Margaret Petroski and Ann DeCarlo.

Catherine’s family would like to thank their family, neighbors and friends for all of the support and comfort that they provided.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Everyone attending is kindly asked to meet at church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 3:00 to 6:00pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers and to honor Catherine’s memory, contributions can be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck, CT 06770.
