NAUGATUCK- Mrs. Nancy (Seeley) Totten, 90, formerly of Naugatuck, passed away early Thursday morning Feb. 7, 2013 at the Masonicare Health Care Center. She was the widow of Julian K. Totten
Mrs. Totten was born in Waterbury, Sept. 23, 1922, a daughter of the late Sheldon W. and Elizabeth (Bryan) Seeley, and had been a resident of Naugatuck since 1946. She was a member of the Congregational Church of Naugatuck, where she sang in the choir for many years and served as a Deacon. She was a former Girl Scout leader for over 7 years, and retired from Uniroyal-Chemical Div. in 1986 with over 20 years of service.
Mrs. Totten is survived by her daughter Dianne Durand and her husband Douglas of Prospect; her granddaughters, Vanessa De Carlo and her husband Jonathan, and Amanda Durand; a great-grandson, Joshua De Carlo and her daughter-in-law, Catherine (Mazzamauro) Totten; one sister Winnifred Strobel and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son David K. Totten.
Funeral services will be held on Monday. Feb. 18, 2013, at 1 pm at the Congregational Church of Naugatuck, 9 Division St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Washington Green Cemetery, Washington, CT. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St., is assisting the family throughout the arrangements.
