Myron Burr Disbrow, 94, of Elim Park in Cheshire passed away Thursday October 5, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Margarete (Cames) Disbrow with whom he shared 69 years of marriage.
Myron was born February 24, 1929 in New Milford, a son of the late Franklyn Wilbur and Julia (Ferriss) Disbrow. Myron is survived by his children, Joan Lafferty and her husband Tim, Linda Disbrow, and nephew Charles “Chip” Martin. Along with his wife and parents he was predeceased by his son Paul and his grandsons, Peter and Joseph, sister Shirley Martin and niece Holly Johns.
Myron was a graduate of the University of Bridgeport earning his Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering. He was employed as a Manufacturing Engineer and Manager for the Bullard Company in Fairfield and White Consolidated Industries in Cincinnati, Ohio retiring in 1987 with over 35 years of service. Myron was a longtime member of St. Peter’s Lodge #21 A.F. & A.M. of New Milford and proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1954 through 1956.
Along with his wife, they were faithful members of Grace Episcopal Church in Trumbull, St. Monica's Episcopal Church in Naples, FL and St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Cheshire. They enjoyed traveling, winters in Florida, volunteering and spending time with their loving family and many friends.
