Cheshire - Myrna Maud Sabean passed away peacefully at Elim Park Baptist Home in Cheshire, Connecticut, on Friday morning, November 7, 2008, in her 102nd year. Predeceased by her husband Elmer Clyde Sabean, she is survived by her three sons, Robert, David, and John, 10 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
Born in Nova Scotia, Myrna moved to Boston in 1929 to train as a Registered Nurse at New England Baptist Hospital. For many years she owned and operated the Sabean Nursing Home in Waltham Massachusetts. In later years she served as a nurse at Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts, and as a supervisor at the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Jamaica Plain, as well as acting as a private nurse on occasion.
Arrangements - At a date to be determined a memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Elim Park, 150 Cook Hill Road, Cheshire. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire is in charge of arrangements.
