Rita Murphy
Cheshire – Rita M. Murphy, 97, passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 16, 2015.
Rita was born on January 23, 1918 in Waterbury, Ct., a daughter of the late James and Catherine (Malley) Murphy.
In addition to her parents, Rita was predeceased by her brothers and sisters. She will be fondly remembered by her two very special caregivers, Thersa Asare and Lorna Tan. She will also be missed her longtime family friend, Rob Lutkus.
The funeral for Mrs. Murphy will be held on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., at Church of the Epiphany, 1750 Huckins Road, Cheshire, Ct. Friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck, is in charge of arrangements.
