Muriel M. Wagner

Cheshire – Muriel M. Wagner, 94, passed on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Regency.  She was the wife of the late Richard T. Wagner Sr.

Mrs. Wagner was born December 2, 1929, in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Miller) Murphy. Richard and Muriel moved to Cheshire, CT in 1975. She was a communicant of St. Bridget of Sweden Parish. 

Mrs. Wagner is survived by her children Richard Wagner, Laura Wagner, Carol (Peter) Talbot, Diane (Robert) McCarthy, grandchildren Lauren (Michael) Moynihan, Lindsay Talbot, Ryan, and Jenna McCarthy, and great-grandson Jameson Moynihan. She was also blessed with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings Edward and William Murphy, Alice Shapiro, and Elizabeth Back.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Regency House of Wallingford for the care and support provided to Muriel and her family.

Arrangements – Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18th from 5 to 7 pm at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. On Friday, July 19th her funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 11 am and proceed to St. Bridget of Sweden Parish – St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am. Burial will follow at Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cheshire Community Food Pantry P.O.
