PROSPECT — Mrs. June A. (Stauffer) Muckle, 78, of 31 Juggernaut Road, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. She was the wife of John J. Muckle.
Mrs. Muckle was born in Waterbury on Dec. 15, 1931, daughter of the late Albert and Dorothy (Doolittle) Stauffer. She worked for many years as a school bus driver in Prospect and Cheshire, and most recently drove the Prospect Senior Center bus. She was a member of the Pinebrook Assembly of God in Naugatuck and enjoyed traveling.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Muckle is survived by a daughter, Dori Hallaway and her husband, John, of Prospect; a son, Paul Muckle and his wife, Robin, of Harwinton; a brother, Robert Stauffer of Naugatuck; and five grandchildren, Thomas, Paul and Ashley Hallaway, and Amanda and Sean Muckle.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m.
