Prospect; John F. (Jack) Mosley 90 passed away on Saturday April 14,2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital Surrounded by his loving family. John was the husband of Mary Bentley.
Jack was born in Bar Harbor, Maine on October 19, 1921 and was the son of the late Charles and Molly Delargy Mosley. He was a WWII army veteran. He worked as a Forman for Sikorsky Aircraft for 30 years until his retirement. He was a member of the American legion in Naugatuck. Jack was the main bingo caller at the senior center in prospect in which he was very active and also created the garden. Jack was a caring and generous sole who helped his neighbors. He loved to play and entertain young kids. A clean yard and a green lawn were extremely important to him. He loved sports the red sox and Uconn sometimes the Giants. He was a great provider for his family. The last minutes of his life he wanted to make sure his family was okay and his wife Mary was going to be taken care of. That’s just how he was. He will be greatly missed by all who new him.
Besides his lovely wife Mary of 67 years john leaves one daughter Roberta Kulas and her husband Jim of Seymour, 3 sons; Jon Mosley of Jupiter, Fl. James and Kevin Mosley both of Oxford a sister Mary Severane of Maine. John is survived by 5 grandchildren Sean and Steffany Mosley, Melissa Mosley and her husband Scot, Jessica and Kerry Hall , James and David Mosley and 8 great-grandchildren. John was predeceased by 3 brothers Ike, Bud and Bob Mosley.
Relatives’ and friends are invited to attend A graveside service on Wednesday April 18, 2012 at the Lawn Cemetery on Lane St. in Shelton, CT. At 1:00 p.m. A reception will follow at the Huntington Congregational Church hall. There are no calling hours.
