James Morrissey

Torrington-James F. Morrissey, 93, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. He was the husband of Bette L Morrissey.
Mr. Morrissey was born on October 14, 1919 in Waterbury a son of the late James and Catherine (Hearns) Morrissey. He was a graduate of Naugatuck High School and was the owner of Church Street Realty in Naugatuck for many years. He enjoyed going to the Torrington Senior Center and loved talking with everyone he came into contact with. He is survived by his wife Bette and Nephew Richard F Morrissey of Naugatuck.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son, Ronald Morrissey and his brother Richard H. Morrissey.
The funeral will be held on Monday, September 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Naugatuck. There are no calling hours and the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck is in charge of arrangements.
