Prospect-Kevin Michael Morine, 21 , of 106 Straitsville Rd., passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 1, 2010.
Kevin was born on May 24, 1988 in Waterbury the beloved son of Michael Roy Thornton of Prospect and Linda Marie (Morine) Thornton of Middletown. Kevin was a graduate of Kaynor Tech High School in Waterbury, class of 2006. After High School, he went on to earn his apprenticeship in tool making at Prospect Machine Products where he was a devoted and hard-working employee. Kevin loved the outdoors; He especially enjoyed sharing the past times of fishing, hiking, and riding his dirt bike with his friends and family.
Not only was Kevin an amazing son, but a devoted and loving brother to Michael Roy Thornton, Jr., Sarah Lynn Thornton and Melissa Marie Thornton all of Prospect. He was loved dearly by his maternal grandparents, Barbara (Petroski) Morine and the late Leroy A. Morine, paternal grandparents Claudette and James Thornton of Naugatuck, great-grandmother, Margaret Petroski and grandmother, Patricia Hayes of Waterbury. He will be forever remembered by his proud and loving aunts and uncles: Holly and Chris Palutis, Susan and Ron Lamontagne, Deborah and Bill Bradley, Sandra Morine and Ivo Abrantes, Lee Thornton,and Kathy Thornton. He shared countless memories and happy times with his cousins: Christopher, Jonathan, Jenifer, Elizabeth, Matt, Heather, Billy, Matthew, Katie, Jason, Ronnie and Collin. In addition, he leaves the Hayes family of Waterbury.
Kevin touched so many lives and was loved by all who were lucky enough to have known him.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck on Friday evening from 5-8 p.m.
