NAUGATUCK – Alice L. (McGrath) Montoni 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 29, 2011 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the wife of the late Frank Montoni JR.
Alice was born in Waterbury on February 4, 1936. She worked as a Food Service Director for the Glendale Center in Naugatuck for many years. She was also a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Alice leaves 4 sons; Frank and his wife Barbara of Naugatuck, Paul and his wife Kimberly of Naugatuck, Steven and his wife Dorothy of Cheshire, and Christopher and his wife Laureen of Naugatuck, a brother John and his wife Lois McGrath of Phoenix, Arizona. She also leaves 5 loving grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She is predeceased by 3 sisters Patricia Anderson, Mary Capalupo and Dorothy Bradshaw and one brother William McGrath.
Alice’s funeral will be held 9:45 a.m. Thursday June 2, 2011 from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 26 Waterbury Rd Rte.69 Prospect. To St. Francis of Assisi Church 318 Church St. Naugatuck for a Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society 701 Russell Rd. Newington, Ct. 06111.
